History

The Wilson Badejo Foundation (WBF) started at the 60th birthday anniversary of the Visioner/Founder/Chairman, Rev. (Dr) Wilson Badejo, on 19th May 2007 at the Mainland Hotel, Oyingbo in Lagos, Nigeria. Bishop (Dr) Olanrewaju Obembe (of blessed memory) of the El-Shaddai Bible Church was called to pray for the celebrant. He declared that a foundation should be established for the celebrant at the epoch making 60th birthday celebration. Bishop Obembe’s suggestion was accepted by all guests present and the journey of the foundation began accordingly.

Following the birthday celebration, Rev. Badejo had a meeting with Prof. Kemabonta (Board Secretary) and said his dream was to put smiles on the faces of people especially the downtrodden masses, the less privileged and those, who, for reasons other than their faults, have been displaced from the country’s economic equilibrium. He particularly had a passion for the youths (Boyz) who are full of energy but have channeled it to causes other than productive. These guys (men and ladies) live in the ghettos of their communities, unable to feed themselves and their dependents, and as a result end up living irresponsible lives involving drug use, alcoholism and crimes, just to cope.
